7 Biblical Truths

Truth #1

We agreed with God that we were powerless over our problems and that our lives had become unmanageable, and that only He could restore us to sanity. We, also, decided to surrender our lives to Him alone.

Romans 7:18. Romans 12:1. Philippians 2:13

Truth #2

We asked God to search and reveal our flaws. Admitted them to God, to others, and to ourselves.

Psalm 139:23-24. James 5:16. 1 John 1:9

Truth #3

We were entirely ready to surrender these defects of character to God and lay them at His feet.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Truth #4

We made a list of all the people we had harmed and made direct amends to them wherever possible, except when doing so would harm them or others.

Matthew 5:23. Luke 6:31.

Truth #5

We continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

1 Corinthians 10:12

Truth #6

We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry it out.

Colossians 4:2

Truth #7

Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these truths, we tried to carry His message to others and to practice these principles in all the affairs of our lives.
